Previously on “The Mysteries of Our Lives”: Winter of Forbidden Ecstasy
Rochelle: Once those papers turn to ashes, the secret in it dies with it. (~)
Jay: I think I know what’s wrong with you. (~)
Leigha: Are you stalking me?
Brock: That sounds more like something you would do. (~)
Anton: I can’t predict the verdict… but I did learn something very interesting.
***Malina: Okay, don’t keep me in suspense any longer, what is it?
Anton: I notice something--
Leigha: Hey, I’m sorry to interrupt, but I need to steal your boyfriend.
Malina: Sure. (Leigha drags him away)
Anton: Okay, what’s going on?
Leigha: A scoop is calling and we can’t do it without you.
(<- Leysdale Hospital ->)
Robin: I don’t know why you insisted I come here for a checkup when I’m fine.
Jay: You are not fine and you haven’t been for a while now. Besides this is not any ordinary checkup, there is a reason and only one reason as to why we are here.
Robin: To check your diagnosis, which the home pregnancy test completely rejected.
Jay: Yeah, and we all know how full proof those are.
Robin: Well, sometimes they are right on the money because I am not pregnant.
Jay: and you feel content on accepting that, so I have to ask, how will you feel if these tests show different, if they show that you are pregnant? (Robin unable to think of something to say)
(<- Showtime Limits Agency ->)
Lacreasha: Let me get this straight, you want me to hand you all the files I have on Leonard Stone so you can burn them?
Rochelle: I think I said what I wanted pretty clear the first time.
Lacreasha: Yeah, I just think I am amazed that you have absolutely no shame. You criticize me for trying to keep this secret and here you are ready to burn all the evidence.
Rochelle: It wasn’t your secret to keep, it is mine and I am free to decide whatever I choose.
Lacreasha: and you have no right to keep this from Dean.
Rochelle: (condescending tone) Well, you had no right to decide if it was better for me to hate my own brother than know the truth, but that didn’t stop you from jumping in his bed.
Lacreasha: Once again, you’re right bitch, (Kyle jaw drops), but you’re forgetting one thing, I am under no obligation to give you anything.
*Theme Song*
Rochelle: Well, I should have known you’d let petty grievances get in the way.
Kyle: (preventing Lacreasha from going in attack mode) I think you’d better leave, Rochelle.
Rochelle: Oh, I think its sweet that you’re speaking for Lacreasha when her emotions get the best of her, it’s a pretty difficult task, I should know. However, I am not leaving until I get the papers I came here for.
Lacreasha: (overcoming Kyle’s second attempt at stopping her) Oh, you’re going to leave before I do something about your pretty face.
(<- Leysdale Hospital ->)
Robin: I don’t know what you want me to say.
Jay: Try looking me in the face and being honest with me, it’s never steered us wrong before.
Robin: (scoffs) Well, I am not so sure about that.
Jay: That was a small rough patch and I hated it, but we overcame it.
Robin: All right, then to be honest-- (turning away for a moment, but then gracefully confronting her husband) I don’t know if I will be as thrill as you to learn I am pregnant. (she looks searchingly at Jay’s cryptic face)
(<- Hallandale Courthouse ->)
Anton: A scoop?
Leigha: We need you to interview Joy Gannon.
Anton: Oh no! (preparing to walk off)
Leigha: Come on.
Anton: I am not exactly bias Leigh, in fact, I’m stuck right smack in the middle. There’s no way I can do that story or the coverage for the interview.
Leigha: Well, neither can I. I am not exactly skilled at this.
Anton: All you do is ask questions and take notes or you can call Kyle and ask him to send some extras down here.
Brock: There is no need for that; I think Leigh can handle this all on her own. In fact, I think she may have just found her calling! (Leigha becomes rattled by the remarked)
***Leigha: What the hell are you doing here and what is that statement supposed to mean?
Brock: Has anyone ever told you its inappropriate to use such vulgar language?
Leigha: Has anyone ever told you its wrong to eavesdrop?
Brock: I thought I was offering invaluable advice you so desperately needed.
Leigha: You have been doing that a lot lately, the problem is I don’t need nor do I want it. What I need and what I want is for you to leave me alone.
Brock: Like you left my wife alone.
Leigha: (appalled) I am not even going to dignify that with a response-- (gracefully exiting) I’ll deal with the press.
Anton: (looking curiously at Brock) What’s going on? That was completely uncalled for.
Brock: (leaving Anton in awe) Are you protecting her, too?
(<- Leysdale Hospital ->)
Robin: You’ve been kind of quiet.
Jay: I’m just trying to understand why you wouldn’t be as excited as I am to have a child.
Robin: It’s not like I haven’t consider having a child (thinking to herself: god knows I have), it’s just that I don’t think this is the right time when our lives are so busy and this epidemic is spreading throughout Massachusetts.
Jay: Well, if we wait for the world to decide when it’s going to be the right time, then we are never going to be ready for this. However, that’s not exactly what I asked you. I asked you why you’re not excited about having a child and I think there’s more, more than you’re telling me.
(<- Showtime Limits Agency ->)
Rochelle: Your threats mean absolutely nothing to me.
Lacreasha: How about I make them worth something to you? If you don’t get the hell out of my face, I will go to Dean with the truth.
Rochelle: The hell you will!
***Lacreasha: Be careful, the real Rochelle is starting to show her true colors.
Rochelle: I am not going to deny that I can get as down and dirty as the next person when pushed hard enough, but at least its not the face I grace the world with.
Lacreasha: I am not even going to indulge you with questions about that statement.
Rochelle: Perhaps because you know the underlining meaning is true. You see, I feel the need to be mean and nasty when I am fighting hard to protect someone I love, you just do it for sheer joy.
Lacreasha: (grunts) You’re such a hypocrite, my god! You will say anything to justify anything that you do that is out of character because you think you are God’s destined angel. Well, let me enlighten you on something, by burning those papers and keeping the truth hidden, you are protecting no one but yourself and your ultimate sin is self-preservation.
Rochelle: You really can’t help but be vile.
Lacreasha: I am telling you that you are as crooked as the rest of us and that’s why you are not getting those papers. (Rochelle takes a step back in a sigh)
(<- Hallandale Courthouse ->)
Anton: I’m just asking what’s going on. You’re getting on Leigh’s case for absolutely no reason and from what I hear, you’ve been making a sport of it. Are you and Samantha having problems?
Brock: The problem is we’re not having anything. I understand that her schedule is busy with this epidemic thing, but I feel like I’m just being placed on the back burner. Whenever I try to surprise her or woo her away from work, she’s either too busy and distracted to notice me or canceling on me because of some new arisen crisis and then I’m stuck looking at Leigh’s face day after day as she tries to worm herself back into my brother’s life.
Anton: Well, I can see that you obviously needed to talk and I don’t know what I can say to help you, I’m not an expert on marriage, but from what I hear, it’s suppose to be about sacrifice and understanding. Tell her how you feel and also be flexible because she can’t control the duty to save people. (saying diligently before exiting) However, if you are really looking for something to pass the time, then try some community group and stop harassing Leigha.
***Robin: I think you are reading way more into what I just said.
Jay: I don’t think so, I have been married to you for almost 10 years, and I think I know when you’re being vague on the details. Is there any particular reason why you are so against being pregnant?
Nurse: (interrupting) Robin, we’re ready for you.
Malina: Well, you sure are popular today.
Anton: I know, I’m sorry, but Brock looked like he needed to talk, unfortunately, I don’t think I was much help.
Malina: Well, sometimes it is just good to listen, that’s really all someone needs. So why don’t you tell me what you were going to earlier?
Anton: I almost allowed myself to forget, but yeah, during the trial I noticed Widlin glancing at Kavina, almost as if she was dependent on her as to how she would testify.
Malina: You think Widlin perjured herself? Why would she do that, from what I gathered, they hardly know each other, if not at all.
Anton: Because they are protecting someone else wrapped up in this whole mess, it is the only thing that makes sense. It explains why there was such hesitation when Widlin was asked if there was someone else there the night of Leonard’s murder, it explains the details being all boggled up, but yet ringing somewhat true. Furthermore, it explains why the whole idea of Kavina murdering Leonard Stone never felt right to me. I mean, I keep thinking back to the days before and after Leonard’s murder because I should have seen the signs, but I didn’t.
Malina: You can’t blame yourself!
Anton: I’m not because I don’t believe there were any signs there for anyone to see.
Malina: What exactly are you saying?
Rochelle: Fine, you be difficult, but one way or another, I will get my hands on those papers.
Lacreasha: (scoffs as Rochelle storms out) You don’t think that was a threat, do you?
Anton: I know it’s going to sound weird, but I don’t think Kavina killed Leonard Stone.
Malina: You think Kavina’s innocent, then why would she confess to a crime she didn’t commit?
Anton: The same reason Widlin’s lying for her, there was someone else in the room that night and that person is the killer.
Robin: What does it say?
Nurse: (shocking Robin) You’re pregnant!
*Stay in Tuned for Scenes*
Next:
Rochelle: I have a job that only someone of your caliber can handle. (~)
Anton: Maybe it turned out this way because Leonard’s real killer wasn’t meant to be punished.
Malina: and who are we to decide that? (~)
Dana: There’s something we have been meaning to tell you. (~)
Billy: I knew it, it was Javier!
