Leonard: You didn’t have to. It’s written all over your face.
(It is now morning)
Camille: I cannot believe you summoned me over here this early in the morning?
Widlin: It’s 10:00 A.M. I called you here because I will not continue to stand by and let you blackmail me.
Camille: There is one way to get me off your back.
Widlin: I know. I was just planning to call the police and have you arrested.
Camille: That could prove disastrous to your health.
Crystal: I just finished speaking to the front desk and they said we were expecting someone.
Taneia: Oh really?
Crystal: Yes, but I don’t recall any appointments. Why do I have a feeling you’re behind this?
Taneia: Because I am. We are suspecting a very important visitor.
Crystal: You make it sound like I should be nervous.
Taneia: No. (thinking) “Tonight, you will just be kicked off your high horse, that’s all.
(theme music)
< > Rochelle: (arrives at the Pierre Estate) Sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if Leonard was here or planning to work tonight?
Alex: No, he took the whole week off and left here last night.
Rochelle: Do you have any idea where he might have gone?
Alex: I’m afraid not, but Widlin might. She and Leonard are very close.
Rochelle: Okay. Thanks.
Widlin: Is that a threat?
Camille: It’s a warning. Don’t even think of bringing the cops in on this. Now, back to what I was saying before, you can easily get out of this by telling all your love ones and friends what happened at West Creek camp. But I don’t think you are going to do that though, are you?
Romain: It’s been a long day and I desperately need a break.
Laura: Why don’t you come over to my place and I’ll whip up a nice meal?
Romain: Generally, I would turn you down, but what the heck. Besides, I can’t pass up an offer like that.
Laura: You’ll be glad you didn’t.
< > Taneia: Come on, you should have been here by now.
Crystal: Boy, are we anxious? Why don’t you just tell me who we are meeting?
(door to the restaurant opens)
Earl: Good evening ladies. So what’s going on?
Crystal: What are you doing here?
Earl: What do you mean, what am I doing here? Didn’t you ladies call me?
Crystal: No, we didn’t.
Taneia: Wrong. I called you, Earl.
Romain: Thanks. This was very nice of you.
Laura: I can’t think of any other way I would rather spend my day.
Romain: Well, I definitely need this break.
Laura: It’s okay. You’ll more than make up for it.
Romain: I don’t see how, but if you say so.
Widlin: You know I don’t want anyone to find out about this.
Camille: So get used to seeing my pretty face and paying for my silence.
Rochelle: Widlin, what’s going on here?
< > Widlin: Nothing.
Rochelle: So why did I overhear this woman talking about paying her off for her silence.
Widlin: She was just reading a line from a play.
Camille: That’s weird!
Widlin: What is it, Camille?
Camille: I can’t remember the play you are talking about. (a facade of anger and nervousness encroaches Widlin’s face as Rochelle continues to try to decipher what is going on)
Laura: (unbuttons her top) God, it feels like the heater has been left on.
Romain: (trying not to look) It looks… feels okay to me.
Laura: (removes her top) No, it just feels so hot in here. You sure you’re alright?
Romain: (nervous pause in his voice) What are you doing?
Laura: Well, I can’t get anymore obvious. I’m practically tearing my clothes off. What do you think I’m doing?
Earl: Taneia, what is going on and you had better not be wasting my time.
Taneia: We need to talk about this business and where it is leading.
Crystal: What are you talking about? The business is just fine.
Taneia: No, it is not and it hasn’t been for a while. It is time for someone to either be put thoroughly in charge or someone to leave.
