Sherri Reynolds
Sherri was married to Mitchell Desmores.  Upon learning that Mitchell was having an affair with her sister, she immediately left her husband and Coral Springs, Nevada.  She landed in Hallandale, where she met with lawyer Evelin Vasquez to work out a divorce agreement between her and Mitchell.  During her meeting with Evelin, she caught the eye of Dr. Romain Chandler.  The two started dating shortly afterwards and grew very close during the tragic shooting of Sherri's sister.  During that time, they each shared personal details about their life and it was through this that Sherri formed a close binding friendship with Romain.  For he had given her the intimate honesty that she was looking for and thought she had found with Mitchell.  However, it all came crashing down when someone from Romain's past started making trouble for him, causing him to leave for North Dakota.  Romain was awol for days and Sherri was none to happy upon his return, but Romain assured her that North Dakota was in the past.  Sherri agreed to forget for the time being, but during Romain's make-up dinner, he received a call from North Dakota and it set off her suspicions.  When Romain later confessed his love for her, she accused him of using the words to sucker her into believing his lies, comparing him to Mitchell.  Romain, outrage, threw her out of his apartment.  She later confided in her sister about what had happened, feeling that it was the imminent end of her relationship with Romain.  Sandy, however, convinced her not to give up because if Romain really cared about her, he would not let a few harsh words get in the way of their relationship.

Low and behold, Romain lated tried to apologize for his actions, but Sherri indirectly brought up North Dakota and the conversation went downhill.  After hearing about the latest turn of events, Sandy concluded that her sister was in love with Romain and that's why she was upset about Romain's declaration of love because she wasn't sure whether or not to buy it.  Sherri didn't deny it for she didn't feel it would change things, but Sandy was sure it made all the difference and plotted to get the two back together.  Sandy also managed to convince Darron to come onboard.  With Darron's help, Sandy staged an evening at Monte Carlos for the couple, leaving them under the impression that the other had invited the other in an effort to make amends.  The night for Sherri and Romain started off splendidly with a couple of close calls, but as the evening progress, the two eventually realized they had been set up.  Sherri and Romain gave Sandy and Darron a taste of their own medicine by pretending their dinner date was going well and then orchestrating a sudden falling out, in which, Sherri stormed out of the restaurant.  The scene left Sandy completely floored.

As Romain met her outside of the restaurant, Sherri apologized for her throwing her drink in his face.  Romain made it clear to her that her spontaneous act was only because the kiss they shared prior meant something to her.  She voiced, despite his convictions, that she was not a willing participant in the kiss.  Romain, however, didn't let her denial disway him and laid his heart on the line, begging Sherri to give their love a chance.  Sherri, despite appearing moved by the statement, shut Romain down.  Eventually the conversation turned into a dispute on how she could not trust him, especially with him keeping secret his reasons for being in North Dakota.  Livid and sick of hearing North Dakota thrown in his face time and time again, Romain declared that he was done trying to get through to her and left her to cry on the steps of Monte Carlos.  The next morning, Sherri lashed out at Sandy for setting up her and Romain and told her to stay out of her love life.  The warning obviously didn't go to heart as Sandy later made a plea to Romain not to give up on her sister.  Although Romain clearly states to Sandy he's done chasing after Sherri, he does attempt to reconcile things once again when he runs into her at Cypress Gardens a few days later.  Sherri agrees to have breakfast with them and it appears to be going well until Romain brings up North Dakota (although he mentions it in effort to convince Sherri to stop focusing on it), but she admits she can't live with secrets and lies again, which offends Romain.  When he gets a call from the hospital, he quickly retreats, obviously finished with his ex.  Sandy, who witnessed most of the scene, tells her sister that she blew it.  Sherri is short with her sister, once again telling her to mind her own business.  She also made it clear that Romain was the one that backed away when he realized his secret was always going to be a problem for them, and she, for one, was not going to be limited by a possible relationship with Romain Chandler.

In the mood for some shameless fun, Sandy agreed to join her sister for a girl's night out. However, Sherri becomes delayed at the hospital, leaving Sandy to be entertained by Romain Chandler, who shows up at the bar and finds her all by her lonesome.  The two grab a table and have a drink together.  At first, the conversation seemed to be an attempt from Sandy to pimp her sister, but Romain saw right through it, admiring her persistence.  He also noted that unlike Sherri, Sandy was more confident and secure in herself and had a fire that he hadn't seen in very many women.  Sandy was so flattered by Romain's kind words that she didn't even notice until his lips became one with hers that they were kissing.  By the time she broke away from the kiss, she was stunned to realize her sister was standing right before them.  Sandy attempted to explain, but it became clear that Sherri was in no mood to listen, berating her sister for doing this to her yet again.  Romain jumped to Sandy's defense and revealed that he kissed her, not the other way around.  Sherri wanted him to explain how he could do this to her, but Romain refused to air their dirty laundry in front of the guests at Monte Carlos and told her that the kiss had nothing to do with her, but she needed to deal with what she saw.  She decided to deal with it by getting up on a table and announcing to the whole restaurant that her sister was a tramp and warning all the married women to keep their husbands locked away.  She then proceeded to demean her sister more by labeling her as garbage before Romain finally intervened, carrying her out of the restaurant.

Once he had her alone, Romain tried to get Sherri to see that she was stuck in the past and only hurting herself in the long run.  It was clear to him from her actions tonight that she was in love with him, otherwise, his kiss with Sandy wouldn't have drove her to such an extreme.  Although it took some teeth grinding, Sherri admitted that she wished Romain was kissing her, not her sister, but that didn't change things.  She could not let go of the secrets, nor her distrust and that's when it finally hit him that it was over.  Clearly the woman he fell in love with was nothing, but a shell of what stood before him and he was tired.  He spent so much time trying to convince her that they belonged together that he missed the point when the subject he was chasing simply became an ideology.  Despite her skepticism about him their relationship being truly finished, when Romain told her that this would be his last time calling things quit, she knew he meant it.  It became even more painfully obvious when he said good-bye and left her to see what was left of her existence.
