Jay Elkasinogen
Jay can probably be surmised by his fidelity and devotion to his wife, Robin Keefer.  His marriage to Robin has only had to weather two obstacles thus far: Jay's deceased fiancče and Robin's pregnancy/almost abortion.  Prior to being married to Robin, Jay was once engaged and set to marry Saraje Jeminson.  However, tragedy struck when he was driving Saraje home from work one night and collided with another vehicle.  Sadly, Saraje didn't make it, a reality that continued to haunt Jay because even with all his medical talents, there was no saving his wife.  As a result, a part of his heart has always remained closed off for her.  It didn't mean he loved his new wife any less.

However, during the Leonard Stone's attempted murder trial, Robin's fears about her marriage to Jay started to resurface as she began questioning aloud whether or not her husband loved her enough.  Robin knew that Jay kept a part of himself hidden, which allowed her insecurities to fester into something big over time.  It took a conversation with recent newlywed and friend, Samantha Lombard, to help Robin realize that it was ridiculous to think that after sharing so many years of their life together that Jay couldn't possibly love her.  It became apparent after a visit with a physician that her emotions might have been all over the place because she was pregnant.  One would think Robin would be overjoyed to hear the news and share it with her husband.  Instead, Robin was bitter and upset that the precautions she took not to get pregnant had been unsuccessful.  Her fears of childbirth clouded everything she could see or her, which drove her to an abortion clinic.  However, at the last minute, she realized she couldn't go through with it.  As such, then came the hardest part - telling Jay he would be a father, but that she came close to terminating her pregnancy.  Once Jay did finally hear it all, he was understandably shock.  It appears he wasn't the only one shielding a part of himself as he never knew of Robin's concerns about having a child, which he could very well understand.  Childbirth is not the easiest thing in the world and it can be risky.  What he couldn't understand was how she could lie to him about her pregnancy - how she could welcome lies into their marriage.  Her attempt at explaining her reasons didn't alleviate the situation either, but he realized he was not in the frame of mind to even comprehend or hear what she was saying and put a halt on the conversation until morning.  We learned later per a chat between him and Brock Lombard that he and Robin had kissed and made up, and were now happily awaiting the birth of their baby boy or girl.
