Despite being an ex- con, Darron is pretty honorable guy searching for the simpler things in life, which for a while during his rebellious days, was traded in for the art of seducing the pants off of wealthy women. After landing in prison for seducing the pants and accessories off the wrong woman, Darron opted to turn his life around after being released a year later for good behavior. He would start over a new leaf as a seasonal worker for T.E.C.'s Restaurante, where he quickly became enamored with the co-owner he had not yet married, Crystal Perez. His ex- wife, Taneia Ralston, however, made a point of telling Darron that he was out of his league and would never have a chance with Crystal. Unfortunately for Darron, that was true, but it appeared he made a much stronger friend and ally in the end. In fact, he was very helpful in rescuing Crystal from the likes of Laura Sedwick. Life as a typial commoner also allowed him to become more grounded and witness the joy of life outside of conning people for money. It's sad that Crystal and Darron sort of migrated off into separate paths after Laura Sedwick's death. However, what was Crystal's lost became Widlin Pierre's gain in more ways than one.
Widlin, who had been wrestling with a scandalous secret for years, was finally able to come clean with her life long pal, Darron. Trusting him with her secret allowed the two to grow closer, much to the disapproval of her father, Alexander. Darron was finally starting to make some good choices in his life, including re-establishing a healthy relationship with Brian Fieldings after he callously revealed to him that he wasn't his father. He and Widlin soon became lovers, which seemed like a great move for both of them. If only Widlin could have trusted more in that love than to allow her father's jealousy to crowd her judgment, but such was not the case. When given ultimatum to give up her inheritance or stay with Darron, she could not firmly make the choice to say goodbye to her inheritance and believe that Darron would still be around afterwards. This man was a con artist for years, but not nearly as long as he had known her and he never saw dollar signs when he looked at her. Unfortunately, this was something that Widlin did not see until it was too late. Darron soon learned the reason behind Widlin's change of taste in restaurants and why it felt like they were hiding from the world-- because they were. She was trying to keep her relationship secret from Alexander, who nearly came close to exposing her the first time, but decided to wait for a more inopportune time and boy did he strike. Once Darron realized that Widlin did not trust him wholeheartedly, he could not entertain a relationship with her any longer. Sadly, after breaking up with her, it was as if they were never together. He soon found companionship in the arms of Juliet Staggerfield, formerly engaged to Devon Lynchetterette, the brother of the man Widlin killed. Small world, isn't it? Not to worry, there are plenty of Widlin and Darron scenes in store for viewers this season.
