Danielle was introduced as the Pierre's maid, but she immediately got dragged into a major storyline with her ties to on-again, off-again boyfriend, Brett Delgado.  When Brett was given the order to kill Sandy Reynolds, he outright refused and left Coral Springs for Hallandale, where he met up with Danielle and later informed her in not so many details of his situation.  Danielle's words convinced Brett that he needed to go back to Coral Springs and wrap up everything that he left unfinished.  Around the same time, Danielle's half-sister, Michelle, came back to town and informed a clueless Danielle that Kasey had been killed. Danielle gave her sister a shoulder to cry on and when Michelle later receive information about her husband's killer, Danielle dropped everything to be at her sister's side.  The trip turned out to be longer than Danielle expected when Michelle decided to head a crusade to find out all the events that led up to her husband's death.  Meanwhile, Danielle begin making discoveries of her own, starting with Brett's ownership of West Creek Camp.  Upon confronting him about this, Brett called off their relationship due to a previous threat he had received from his boss about harming Danielle if she continued to snoop around.  He figured at the time that he could keep her out of harm's way if he was not attached to her.  Danielle hurt, ran off, but after thinking it over and realizing how much she cared for him, she told him that she was not going to give up on them.  That declaration was short-lived as her half-sister and Officer Enrique Rivera started gathering evidence that linked Brett to the murder of Michelle's husband.  Danielle did not believe it, she defended Brett, pronouncing that he would never be involved in something so heinous.  However, she later learned from Brett's own mouth that he was very involved.  She refused to forgive him for his cowardice, but after some relentless effort on Brett's behalf, she gave him another chance.

Unfortunately, Danielle became drawn into her sister's revenge plans against Shaquanna Nichols, and Brett, sick of feeling like second-best, broke up with her.  Danielle, as a result, lashed out at Michelle for occupying all her time and made her sister faced who she really blamed for Kasey's death.  After Michelle started getting counseling, Danielle moved out. Fate would have it, she ended up moving into Northern Heights Resort, next door to... you guessed it, Brett.  The two have agreed to remain friends.  Soon after her move, Michelle offered Danielle a modeling gig at Hunks & Beauty Fashions International.  What seem like a wonderful and joyous opportunity is starting to turn into a nightmare for Danielle since her appointment of lead model has put her in the eye of a storm, the storm being Vanessa Manthroll.  As H&B's lead model, Danielle has the opportunity to work very closely with Lucien, a fact that Vanessa has not taken well.  In fact, Vanessa has assaulted and threatened on Danielle on various occasions.  Following a dinner in the studio, Danielle discovered a portrait of herself burnt and slashed into pieces, causing her to realize the extent of Vanessa's jealousy.  However, after speaking with her ex (Brett) about it, she resolved to play the situation by ear, not believing Vanessa to be dangerous.  The following afternoon, high on the success of their photoshoot, Danielle was blind-sided by a kiss from Lucien, which she reciprocated before regaining control of her faculties and letting Lucien know they couldn't take the kiss any further.  Lucien agreed and swiftly left her dressing rom, running into a stunned Vanessa Manthroll, who tried to cover having spied the kiss in front of Lucien.  Once he headed back to the main studio area, Vanessa confronted Danielle, but before she could get out a word edgewise, Danielle made it painfully clear to Vanessa that she [Vanessa] and Lucien were not a couple.  Vanessa later had a nightmare about Lucien and Danielle ending up together and came to the conclusion that she needed to get rid of Danielle.  Currently, Vanessa continues to drug Danielle with amphetamines without the model being the wiser.
